MEET THE TEAM

REBECCA JENNER

OWNER/ FOUNDER

Founder of Calico Decorating, Rebecca trained as a decorative painter before launching Calico in 2007. She specialises in bespoke finishes using a variety of different mediums and loves hand painting kitchens. She’s the friendly voice at the end of the phone and deals with all our administration in the office but still loves to join the team on site and is happiest wielding a paintbrush or trowel. Rebecca loves exploring her creative side by developing new techniques and finishes. She ensures Calico remains at the forefront of the decorating market in the New Forest.

JENNY DAVIES

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Jenny joined Calico in 2018 after completing a BA Hons Degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Her knowledge of colour theory benefits our colour consultations and is also in charge of our social media accounts. Jenny has a keen eye for detail, making her a specialist in hand-painted kitchens and furniture. She loves creative projects and gets especially excited painting walls or furniture in a bold colour, or when we have a decorative feature wall to complete using either metallic paint or a plaster effect. She’s our friendly on-site supervisor, making sure all our projects run smoothly.

LISA BENSON

MASTER DECORATOR

Lisa has been with Calico since 2011 and is an invaluable member of the team. She will always make sure a job is completed on time and finished to our high standards. Due to her extensive experience, Lisa has a vast product knowledge and can always find a solution to any problem that may arise. When it comes to prep work, there’s no one better, she will always throw herself into any project and especially loves transforming a really neglected space/ home into something beautiful. She is ever-ready, reliable and keeps not only herself going, but the rest of us too.

TOM POWER

MASTER DECORATOR

Joining Calico in 2021, Tom is our only male on the team. He’s made a lovely addition to the team, always friendly and upbeat. Having completed his apprenticeship with a distinction, Tom has come on leaps and bounds. Fully trained in hand-painted kitchens, he makes a great team with Jenny travelling across Hampshire and Dorset to transform your kitchens. He especially enjoys painting unique areas with bright colours and working at heights. Tom has also developed a love for lime wash effects on walls and has been on many wallpaper courses, advancing his wallpaper skills.

KIRSTIN SAUNDERS

SENIOR DECORATOR

Our newest member of the Calico family, Kirstin joined us in 2022. She has already gained so much knowledge of the field since joining us. Kirstin has also passed her Apprenticeship with distinction. She can design and paint custom murals for your home, especially perfect for children’s spaces, working with our clients to tailor the perfect layout, theme and colour combinations. Her favourite aspect of Calico is the more intricate transformations of ornate fireplaces and faux bookshelves in a library. Like many of us in Calico, Kirstin loves to see the transformation of a space especially if it means using bold or rich colours in the process.

JESSIE

CALICO MASCOT

Meet Jessie, the beloved four-legged member of our team at Calico. Jessie may not be able to wield a paintbrush but she certainly knows how to inspire comfort and warmth in our office.

Whether she’s lounging by the desk, greeting clients with a wagging tail, or adding a touch of joy to our brainstorming sessions, Jessie is always here to keep things light, creative, and full of positive energy.
